I am pleased to announce my piece 'Cool...Like A Fox' has been selected as a finalist of the @walkwaygallery 2023
Tatiara Art Prize.

I decided to enter a small but mighty painting of a small but mighty subject; The Cooladdi Fox Trap Road House, the smallest official town in Australia which resides approximately 3 people. Added to the landscape background are the mountains of Winton QLD, the birthplace of Banjo Paterson's 'Waltzing Matilda'.

The exhibition will be held from 15 September - 11 November at The Walkway Gallery, Bordertown. Congrats to all the other finalists.

I am super pleased and humbled to announce that I have just won the @bluethumbart Landscape Art Prize 2022. The panel of judges were made up of fellow artists that I look up to, including Del Kathryn Barton, Blak Douglas, Kathryn Longhurst, Loribelle Spirovski and Tamara Dean.

I've been a part of the Bluethumb family for close to 10 years. Watching them build and level up has been an amazing thing to witness. They truly put the artists first and go above and beyond; this year’s prize pool is evidence of this. They not only support artists, but they appreciate us, so its even more gratifying to receive this award. Thank you to all the judges and the dynamo team at Bluethumb! Congrats to all the other winners and finalists!

(P.S I said “flabbergasted” when I heard the news over the phone, I have never used that word in my life!)
